Analytics Engineer

Flagstone is a online savings platform looking for an Analytics Engineer to partner with Product teams to deliver data and insights. The role involves designing, building, and maintaining robust data models and pipelines, as well as contributing to the development of the data platform.

Requirements

  • Strong SQL skills and experience building data models and pipelines using dbt on cloud warehouses (preferably Databricks or similar modern data warehouses)
  • Experience using Python to support data transformation, automation and advanced analysis within analytics workflows
  • Solid understanding of product metrics, financial and CRM data
  • Ability to balance technical build (ETL, modelling, data engineering) with analytical insight (storytelling, stakeholder communications)
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure as a cloud platform, alongside experience with Git and CI/CD workflows to support collaborative, production-grade analytics development
  • Excellent communication skills, and the ability to work cross functionally and explain data clearly to non-technical stakeholders
  • Proactive problem solving and a delivery focused mindset
  • Understanding of fundamental data governance policies, and the ability to embed effective data quality monitoring into analytics workflows
