Role Overview
The Director of Product Operations and Delivery is the primary link between FOX One Mexico’s business and the company’s central areas of Product, Operations, Delivery, and Engineering. This position exists for three reasons: Mexico is migrating to the FOX DTC technology stack, Mexico needs a dedicated operational counterpart, and Latin America is the next step.
What You Will Do
The Director will lead operation and business, investigate incidents, build relationships with local business leadership, and represent the operational reality of the market in central planning.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The position requires autonomy, collaboration, and communication skills, as well as the ability to identify opportunities, form criteria, and start work without a formal request.
Requirements
- Leadership of Operation and Business
- Investigate incidents, reach conclusions, and drive improvements independently
- Build relationships of trust with local business leadership, merchandising, marketing, finance, and customer service
- Represent the operational reality of the market in central planning
- Define and be responsible for the product and operation health framework
- Ensure that there are dashboards, alerts, and recurring reviews so that health is visible without anyone having to request it
- Detect early deterioration and emerging risks, ensure the diagnosis of the cause, and convert it into an operational correction or product improvement defined
- Translate business and operation needs into problem statements and SOPs that Delivery and Engineering can execute without a clarification meeting
- Facilitate the reception and prioritization of market initiatives within the DTC operational model
- Validate that delivered solutions met the objective that justified them, measured against the health framework
- Treat the operational model as a product: identify where processes are manual, slow, prone to error, or dependent on a single person, and correct them
- Improve the reception of requests, prioritization, execution tracking, release management, incident handling, and reporting, aligned to DTC portfolio management practices
- Automate operational and reporting work with Engineering, Analytics, and internal tool teams
- Document the operational model so that it can be transferred to a new market, a new person, or a team
- Direct execution with central Delivery teams and distributed Engineering teams: requirements, dependencies, sequencing, risks, and dates
- Maintain the execution vision, dependencies, and risks as a living document, with a responsible person and a next step for each open point
- Administer the critical path and be able to express in a single sentence what is blocking the launch or release
- Eliminate blockages proactively: escalate early, convene the right people, and close the cycle in writing the same day
- Be responsible for launch and cutover preparation: go/no-go criteria, tests, launch day operations, rollback plan, and incident communication
- Enforce operational discipline: recorded decisions, documented scope changes, and verbal agreements settled in writing
- Be responsible for the market’s operational rhythm: daily operational signal, weekly execution and risk status, and monthly business and platform review
- Report product and platform health, business performance, risks, and dependencies, with analysis and recommendation, not just data dumping
- Serve as a bridge between Business, Product, Operations, Delivery, Engineering, Customer Service, Marketing, and Finance, in two languages and across time zones
- Manage bilingual incident communication and escalation with impact to the customer
- Turn what is learned in Mexico into a replicable launch manual for markets: operational preparation, baseline measurement, customer service, commerce, and merchandising enablement
- Define what is genuinely specific to each market and what should be resolved by configuring the multi-tenant platform, and question proposals for isolated developments
- Be responsible for the operational preparation of subsequent LATAM markets and grow the regional function as the scope increases
