Sales Manager (Payments/B2B/Open for fresh graduation)

Role Overview

The Sales Manager will be part of the payments team, a fast-growing part of the organization, and will be responsible for acquiring new SME customers and driving revenue growth.

What You Will Do

The Sales Manager will own the full sales cycle, from initial outreach and discovery to product demonstration, negotiation, onboarding, and activation. They will also prospect actively through cold calling, email, LinkedIn, referrals, and other channels to build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of CardUp’s products and value propositions, as well as experience in new business development and outbound prospecting. They will also be able to qualify opportunities, manage a sales pipeline, and convert prospects into customers.

Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor of Degree in any discipline
  • 1–3 years of B2B sales experience, preferably within Payments, FinTech, SaaS, financial services or another fast-paced technology environment
  • Demonstrated experience in new business development and outbound prospecting, including cold calling and high-volume customer outreach
  • A proven ability to qualify opportunities, manage a sales pipeline and convert prospects into customers
  • Experience selling to SMEs, with an understanding of their business needs, cash flow challenges and decision-making processes
  • Target-driven, resilient and persistent, with the motivation to consistently pursue new opportunities and achieve sales goals
  • Strong commercial judgement with the ability to understand customer needs and communicate a compelling value proposition
  • Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills
  • Highly organised and disciplined, with the ability to manage multiple opportunities in a fast-paced environment
  • Adaptable, independent and comfortable operating in an environment where priorities and requirements can evolve quickly
  • Strong integrity, ownership and commitment to delivering an excellent customer experience
