Director, Developer Platform Marketing and Growth

Role Overview

The Director, Developer Platform Marketing and Growth will own making GoDaddy more discoverable, recommendable, and trusted by developers, agencies, domain investors, and AI agents crafting how businesses get started and run online. This person will build a new growth function from the ground up, defining what the Developer Platform becomes.

What You Will Do

The Director will define the function, develop the operating model, and evaluation framework for how GoDaddy’s Developer Platform is discovered, embraced, and recommended by developers and AI systems. They will ensure GoDaddy is recommended when AI is asked to help entrepreneurs start, build, or own a business online, and that our Developer Platform makes the next step easy to take.

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of proven experience across developer marketing, technical marketing, product marketing, technical partnerships, or developer relations, ideally within a global platform, developer infrastructure, API-first, cloud, or ecosystem-led business.

Requirements

• 10+ years of proven experience across developer marketing, technical marketing, product marketing, technical partnerships, or developer relations
• Experience building cross-functional GTM programs across product, engineering, communications, partnerships, community, events, email, social, press, and core marketing teams
• A track record of earning credibility with developers, technical practitioners, agencies, open-source communities, or platform ecosystems
• Experience crafting platform partnerships and ecosystem distribution
• Strong understanding of developer tools, AI agents, MCP integrations, agent engine optimization, LLM discovery behavior, machine-readable content, and how to translate sophisticated platform capabilities into clear narratives for developer, business, and executive audiences
