Analytics Engineer

Role Overview

As Analytics Engineer, you’ll be the technical backbone of the Product Data function, establishing governed, trustworthy models across the data estate and setting standards for the function to run on. You’ll work hands-on in Databricks, partnering closely with the data engineer on modelling and with product and business stakeholders on what to measure and why.

What You Will Do

Build trust in the data estate, model with dbt, own the event taxonomy, define shared metrics, enable self-serve, enforce quality, and work with product teams to shape and ship features.

This role is for you if you have production-level experience with SQL, experience with dimensional modelling and semantic layers, and a track record of building enforcement processes. You should be comfortable translating ambiguous product and business questions into clear, durable measurement definitions.

Requirements

• Production-level experience with SQL
• Experience with dimensional modelling and semantic layers
• Experience building a tracking plan or event taxonomy in partnership with engineering
• A track record of building enforcement processes such as data contracts, CI validation or DoD gates
• Comfort translating ambiguous product and business questions into clear, durable measurement definitions
