Business Intelligence Specialist

Role Overview

Join our Data Architecture & Engineering team to help shape the way data and insights are delivered across Goodstart. You’ll work across Microsoft Fabric and Power BI to build semantic models, reports, and dashboards that transform curated data into meaningful insights.

What You Will Do

Build and maintain Power BI semantic models, reports, and dashboards, partner with stakeholders to understand reporting and analytics needs, and champion self-service analytics to help people confidently use data to make informed decisions.

You’ll be an experienced BI professional who enjoys getting into technical detail but can also step back and understand people and business needs behind the data. You’ll bring around 5+ years’ experience in BI development, consulting, or a closely related discipline.

Requirements

• 5+ years’ experience in BI development, consulting, or a closely related discipline
• Demonstrated experience developing Power BI semantic models and visualisations
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric, along with a strong understanding of SQL and DAX
• Knowledge of data platforms, BI platforms, semantic modelling, data architecture, governance, reporting, and analytics
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into language that makes sense to non-technical audiences
• Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
• Experience working within RAD and Agile methodologies
• A genuine interest in continuing to learn and develop as modern data platforms and technologies evolve
• Experience with SAP HANA, SAP Business Objects, SAP Data Services, or other legacy SAP BI toolsets
• Relevant qualification in Information Technology, Business Studies, or a related discipline
