Job Description

The Director of Sales Operations is responsible for supporting and assisting the sales team to drive the sales and market expansion of energy storage products. Ideally this person will have a background working Sales Operations in the renewable energy space for companies within industries such as: Utility Scale Solar Suppliers, Utility Scale Battery ESS suppliers, Project Developers, EPC, IPP, etc.

Job Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and optimize scalable sales processes to support revenue growth.
  • Partner with sales leadership to improve pipeline management, forecasting accuracy, and territory planning.
  • Develop and deliver sales enablement resources (playbooks, dashboards, training materials).
  • Build and maintain sales performance dashboards and reporting tools (CRM, BI platforms).
  • Provide insights on KPIs such as pipeline coverage, conversion rates, quota attainment, and sales cycle length.
  • Track key metrics and recommend strategies to improve productivity and revenue growth.
  • Own and administer CRM (Salesforce, HubSpot, or equivalent), ensuring data integrity and adoption.
  • Evaluate, implement, and manage additional sales tools to improve efficiency (prospecting, automation, reporting).
  • Ensure alignment of sales tools with Marketing and Finance systems for accurate reporting.
  • Support annual and quarterly sales planning, including headcount modeling, territory design, and quota assignment.
  • Collaborate with Finance on commission structures, incentive programs, and revenue forecasts.
  • Support the commercial negotiation process which includes but is not limited to the RFP, MSA, LTSA, PPA stage etc.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or above
  • Chinese or Bilingual highly preferred
  • Familiar with industry management laws and regulations and international trade
  • Able to effectively connect domestic and foreign customers and suppliers
  • Familiar with market research, business contract negotiation, quotation analysis, and bidding management
  • Have keen market insight, strong organizational coordination skills, and business analysis capabilities
