Inside Sales/Counter Salesperson

Role Overview

Hajoca Corporation is seeking an Inside Sales/Counter Salesperson to join their team in Harrisonburg, VA. The successful candidate will be responsible for meeting or exceeding sales targets, working with the Profit Center Manager to establish revenue and margin targets, and providing excellent customer service.

What You Will Do

The Inside Sales/Counter Salesperson will be responsible for processing sales orders, assisting customers, generating sales leads, and identifying opportunities for value-added services. They will also be responsible for communicating with the Profit Center Manager and Credit Manager regarding customer credit risks.

Requirements

• 1 year of experience in customer service or inside sales & Counter Sales contractor sales
• Knowledge of products sold in the Profit Center
• Use of Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Outstanding customer service, telephone/verbal communication, and generous listening skills
• Demonstrate product knowledge to answer customer questions and identify opportunities to upsell or cross sell
• Build influential relationships and trust with customers and vendors through open and interactive communication
• Able to ask probing questions to understand customer needs, overcome objections by recommending profitable solutions, explain our value-added services, ask for the order and close the sale
• Able to build positive working relationships and inspire teamwork with co-workers
• Able to learn and operate the computer related systems used to process orders
• Able to learn to operate warehouse material-handling equipment
• Read, write, speak, and understand English
• Add, subtract, multiply, and divide, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
