A division of Harris, Cayenta is seeking a Business Development Representative to drive the growth of their software in the utility market, reporting to the Director of Sales & Marketing. The role involves generating a pipeline of inbound prospects, converting prospects to customers, and proactively seeking outbound opportunities to exceed sales targets.
Requirements
- 5+ years of direct experience selling to municipalities and local government
- Proven track record of self-generating leads and pipeline
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Ability to build and foster strong relationships with clients and partners
- Self-driven, proactive, positive, and goal-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Hunter attitude with an enthusiastic spirit
- Willingness to travel 50-75% for client meetings and industry events between Canada, the Caribbean and the US, as required
