Technical Business Analyst – Data Operations

HDR is seeking a Technical Business Analyst – Data Operations to serve as a critical liaison between business stakeholders and the data engineering team. This role will gather and document requirements for data pipelines and reporting solutions, ensuring developers can focus on delivery.

Requirements

• Partner with business units to gather, analyze, and document requirements for data engineering and reporting projects.
• Translate business needs into clear technical specifications for developers and data platform administrators.
• Build and maintain Agile backlogs, user stories, and acceptance criteria using Jira or similar tools.
• Validate data outputs and perform QA checks to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Support demand and portfolio management processes in ServiceNow, including tracking approvals and resource planning.
• Collaborate with developers to ensure smooth handoff of requirements and timely delivery.
• Maintain documentation for processes, workflows, and technical requirements.
• Assist in continuous improvement of Agile practices within the data operations team.
