Technical Business Analyst – Data Operations

The Technical Business Analyst will serve as a critical liaison between business stakeholders and the data engineering team. The role focuses on gathering and documenting requirements for data pipelines and reporting solutions, ensuring developers can focus on delivery.

Requirements

• Partner with business units to gather, analyze, and document requirements for data engineering and reporting projects.
• Translate business needs into clear technical specifications for developers and data platform administrators.
• Build and maintain Agile backlogs, user stories, and acceptance criteria using Jira or similar tools.
• Validate data outputs and perform QA checks to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Support demand and portfolio management processes in ServiceNow, including tracking approvals and resource planning.
• Collaborate with developers to ensure smooth handoff of requirements and timely delivery.
• Maintain documentation for processes, workflows, and technical requirements.
• Assist in continuous improvement of Agile practices within the data operations team.
