We’re hiring an Analytics Engineer / BI Engineer to support the design, stabilization, and improvement of reporting and analytics environments. The role will focus on assessing existing reporting setups, improving data models and performance, and building scalable reporting layers for modern data platforms.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on SQL experience
- Experience working with SQL Server or similar relational databases
- Understanding of data modelling concepts
- Ability to analyse and improve poorly structured or legacy reporting databases
- Experience building Power BI dashboards and semantic models
- Strong understanding of Power BI data models and relationships
- Ability to diagnose and resolve slow or inefficient reports
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience working with Power Pivot and Excel data models
- Ability to translate Excel-based calculations into scalable BI or SQL models
- Practical experience with rebuilding or simplifying complex Excel-based reporting logic
- Designing clean semantic layers for BI reporting
- Optimising SQL queries and improving reporting performance
- Working directly with business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements
- Documenting data models, metric definitions and reporting logic
- Delivering reporting improvements in iterative phases
