Senior Data Engineer (w/m/d)

TELUS Health is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join their Engineering team in Berlin. The role involves architecting and scaling data infrastructure for the Humanoo digital wellness platform, ensuring high-performance and secure data flow. Responsibilities include building and maintaining robust data pipelines, designing and deploying scalable data models, administering data storage and processing ecosystems, and implementing data security measures. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with AWS, Snowflake, Apache Airflow, and dbt, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Requirements

• Proven, hands-on experience building and maintaining a modern data stack environment specifically utilizing AWS, Snowflake, Airflow, and dbt
• At least 4 years experience in SQL (for complex data modeling and transformation in Snowflake/dbt) and Python (for pipeline orchestration in Airflow and API integrations)
• Deep understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL/ELT paradigms, and efficient relational/dimensional data modeling
• Solid understanding of data security best practices, compliance standards (e.g., GDPR/HIPAA), and data governance principles
