Role Overview
The Business Development Manager will work remotely to develop additional business from renewal of existing contracts, competitive RFPs, and new business pursuits in the Western United States region. They will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to develop targeted market plans and build strong relationships with client decision makers and stakeholders.
What You Will Do
The Business Development Manager will develop targeted market plans, create detailed maps of the decision-making process, build and maintain strong relationships with clients, prepare proposals, and help assemble project teams to convert targets to clients. They will also work with existing operations staff to support renewal efforts and meet or exceed territory revenue quota at standard gross margins or better.

Requirements

- Effectively worked with consultants and advocates partnerships
- Working understanding of water, wastewater infrastructure and public works infrastructure
- Strong business development, opportunity qualification, and consultative selling skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders at all organizational levels.
- Proficiency with CRM platforms, complex spreadsheets, databases, and presentation software; Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) required.
