Role Overview

We are seeking a driven and commercially focused Business Development Manager to expand local market presence, develop new business opportunities, manage key accounts, and drive consistent revenue growth within the food ingredients and industrial solutions sector.

What You Will Do

Identify and develop new business opportunities, manage and grow key accounts, build and maintain strong long-term relationships with customers and business partners, and drive sales targets and ensure consistent revenue growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in business development, sales, key account management, or a related commercial role
  • Experience in the food, food ingredients, industrial solutions, B2B, distribution, or retail supply sector will be preferred
  • Strong knowledge of the Sri Lankan market and key customer segments
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing customer accounts
  • Ability to identify new business opportunities and convert prospects into long-term customers
  • Strong customer relationship management and account development skills
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Good commercial awareness with the ability to understand pricing, margins, payments, and customer profitability
  • Strong follow-up skills with the ability to support collections and outstanding payment management
  • Ability to coordinate effectively with internal teams and external customers
  • Good planning, reporting, and time-management skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple customer opportunities
  • High level of professionalism, accountability, transparency, and business ethics
  • Self-motivated, target-driven, and committed to delivering business growth
