Senior Solutions Engineer (Pr.Eng)

Role Overview

The Senior Solutions Engineer is a professionally registered engineer responsible for technical leadership, engineering oversight, and the development of compliant renewable energy solutions across Solar PV and BESS projects. The role includes system design, modelling, simulation, BOQ generation, technical review, and the mentorship and professional development of junior engineers within a multidisciplinary engineering environment.

What You Will Do

Perform feasibility studies, conduct system sizing, yield analysis, and preliminary design development for new sales enquiries and project opportunities. Provide technical review, engineering input, and professional sign-off for new sales enquiries and technical proposals. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure proposed solutions are technically compliant, commercially feasible, and aligned with applicable engineering standards, customer requirements, and regulatory frameworks.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
• Professional Engineer Registration (Pr.Eng) with ECSA
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant engineering and technical sales experience
• Proven experience in engineering design, technical solution development, system modelling, and technical analysis
• Experience within the Commercial & Industrial BESS and Solar PV market
• Strong understanding of engineering principles, system design methodologies, technical documentation, and project environments
• Knowledge of South African electrical, renewable, and grid code compliance standards
• Proficiency in engineering modelling and simulation software
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as required
