Data Engineer – Market Risk

Role Overview

We are looking for a Data Engineer – Data Integration with experience in Big Data environments and knowledge in Market Risk, to join a long-term project in the banking sector, in a 100% remote mode from Spain.

What You Will Do

Participate in the DataHub of Markets as a Data Engineer, define and automate processes developed with Big Data technologies (Spark/Scala), prepare and transform data for exploitation, and manage requests related to process automation and configuration.

We are looking for someone with experience in supervising tasks and collaborating in team coordination, knowledge of Hive and Office 365 environment, and valuable experience with Scala, Spark, and Hadoop ecosystem.

Requirements

• Between 2 and 6 years of experience as a Data Engineer
• Advanced level of SQL
• Experience in designing ETL and data models
• Knowledge of process planning and automation through Job as Code
• Experience with Control-M Workload Automation
• Experience in integrated testing and data validation
• Experience in the banking sector, especially in Market Risk
• High level of English (B2/C1 required)
• Experience in supervising tasks and collaborating in team coordination
• Knowledge of Hive and Office 365 environment
• Valuable: Experience with Scala
• Knowledge of Spark and Hadoop ecosystem
• Knowledge of financial products and market risk metrics
• Experience in financial markets and organized markets
