Role Overview

This is a senior technical leadership role focused on building and scaling the financial data infrastructure that powers critical insurance operations such as commissions, incentives, and payment systems. The role sits at the intersection of data engineering, finance, and product, requiring close collaboration with stakeholders across multiple domains.

Lead the design and evolution of scalable financial data systems, build and maintain robust data pipelines, define technical strategy, and drive execution of systems that support high-stakes financial processes.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of software engineering experience with strong focus on data engineering or backend systems
  • Deep expertise in Python, SQL, Spark, and Terraform
  • Strong experience building large-scale financial, payments, commissions, or incentive-based systems
  • Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS, and modern data architecture patterns
  • Proven ability to lead complex, multi-team technical initiatives across functional domains
  • Strong understanding of scalable data pipeline design, distributed systems, and data reliability principles
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical teams and senior business stakeholders
  • Strong leadership mindset with ability to influence architecture and technical direction without direct authority
  • Experience in incident response and production system reliability improvements
