People Ops Specialist (Salm)

The People Operations Specialist performs administrative and operations support to the production staff to increase overall efficiency in daily operations. The position reports to the Director of Operations with a dotted line to Human Resources.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required
  • Bachelor’s or associate degree in Business with an emphasis in Human Resources preferred
  • Experienced with Human Resources System and Time Keeping Systems preferred
  • Previous experience with Sage financial software or related integrated ERP manufacturing software systems is strongly preferred
  • Bi-lingual (Spanish/English) Recommended
  • Must have exemplary communication skills and enjoy teaching and developing people
  • Must be able to effectively manage multiple priorities and time demands in a deadline-intensive environment
  • Must have strong attention to details and proven work ethic and integrity
  • Must possess highly effective interpersonal communication skills, with strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Must have the ability to draft routine reports and correspondence
  • Must have the ability to speak effectively before small groups
  • Must listen well and create an environment of open communication and collaborative problem solving
  • Must possess outstanding computer proficiency with Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Must possess strong math skills, with the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Must possess the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume, and to create and interpret bar graphs and data charts
