BI Engineer

LightEdge is seeking a skilled BI Engineer to support data & analytic functions enterprise-wide. This individual will deliver end-to-end data solutions that includes: gathering business requirements for reporting dashboards, perform data analysis, write SQL queries, ensure data integrity and build dashboards.

Requirements

• Gather and document business requirements for reporting and analytics requests
• Write SQL queries applying complex joins and business logic to accurately pull data needed for reporting and analytics
• Administer Power BI cloud instance: provide appropriate access to users, train new users, publish and maintain certified data sources
• Build Power BI dashboards by connecting Snowflake data and creating actionable visuals
• Validate, analyze and document new datasources
• Help establish and follow proper data governance, compliance and security practices
• Partner with stakeholders to translate business needs into actionable data insights using Snowflake and Power BI
• Train and mentor less experienced team members
• Collaborate with data engineers to ensure data in Snowflake is correct and supports reporting needs
