Role Overview

This Financial Planning & Analysis Specialist will perform and deliver on routine assignments and projects while leveraging and applying knowledge of FP&A principles to support Lincoln Financial Distributors (LFD). The individual will prepare, analyze, forecast, and report on financial information that helps business leaders make informed decisions regarding budgets, expenses, headcount planning, and business investments.

What You Will Do

Prepare, analyze, and report on financial results and key business metrics for assigned LFD business areas. Support the annual budget, forecast, and long-range planning processes, including expense, revenue, and headcount planning.

Requirements

  • 4 Year/Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor’s)
  • 1+ Years experience in financial planning & analysis
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills with the ability to interpret financial data and communicate insights effectively.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and financial modeling techniques.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to partner effectively with business leaders and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, Claude, or similar platforms) to support data analysis, process efficiency, financial insights, and business decision-making.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint with experience developing clear and concise presentations that communicate financial results, forecasts, strategic recommendations, and key business insights to stakeholders.
