Role Overview
Lochner is recruiting for a mid-level Transportation Data Analyst / Modeler to support data-driven planning, modeling, and investment decision-making for multimodal transportation systems. This role combines GIS analysis, traffic modeling, and benefit-cost evaluation, along with support for grant writing and funding applications.
What You Will Do
Analyze large transportation datasets, develop and maintain traffic models, perform scenario analysis, and support forecasting of traffic volumes, congestion, and system performance.
Why It Might Be a Fit
6+ years of work experience in data analysis, GIS, and transportation modeling is preferred. Experience working with transportation datasets, travel demand or traffic models, and geospatial tools, and can translate technical analysis into actionable insights for planners, engineers, and stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Urban & Regional Planning, Civil Engineering, Geography, or related field.
- 6+ years of work experience in data analysis, GIS, and transportation modeling is preferred.
- Experience working with transportation datasets, travel demand or traffic models, and geospatial tools, and can translate technical analysis into actionable insights for planners, engineers, and stakeholders.
