The Director, Media Operations is responsible for managing broadcast operations for MLS and SUM events. Ensuring seamless coordination across multiple stakeholders, such as internal teams; production partners (Apple, NEP, IMG, etc.), and rights holders. Key duties include overseeing the Broadcast Operations Center, managing matchday communications, troubleshooting broadcast issues, and preparing for major events like the All-Star Game and MLS Cup.

Requirements

  • Participate in the in-office Media Operations match day monitoring rotation
  • Coordinate communications during matchdays with internal stakeholders, rights holders, and production partners
  • Serve as senior operational decision-maker during live matchdays
  • Define and continuously refine matchday command structures, incident ownership models, and post-incident review processes
  • Maintain a strong understanding of MLS Media Operations and Production structures
  • Lead end-to-end broadcast production planning and execution for marquee MLS and SUM events
  • Liaise with internal teams to align operational needs with event planning
  • Participate in Leagues Cup Organizing Committee coordination efforts
  • Oversee FMF live events, including vendor coordination and limited travel in support of live productions
