Senior Analyst, Data Strategy

Mastercard is seeking a Senior Analyst, Data Strategy to develop data quality programs and drive data quality improvements across the organization. The role will focus on implementing data ingestion workflows, performing quality checks, and delivering actionable insights using SQL, ETL tools, and cloud-based platforms.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of data analysis, data ecosystems and data management.
• Bachelor’s degree in data science, computer science, or related field; Master’s preferred.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Hands-on experience with data ingestion, ETL processes, and workflow automation.
• Familiarity with cloud architecture (Databricks preferred), data marketplaces, and emerging technologies (machine learning/AI).
• Proficiency in SQL and exposure to Python; experience with data wrangling, matching, and ETL techniques.
• Knowledge of cloud-based data storage and processing is a plus.
• Experience with data visualization and operational data management practices.
• Ability to execute operational tasks, drive process improvements, and coordinate projects.
• Intellectual curiosity and a process-driven approach to support business use cases.
• Understanding of Mastercard products and systems preferred.
