Jr. SEO Manager

Role Overview

We’re looking for a Jr. SEO Manager to join our growing SEO team at MeanPug on a contractor basis. You’ll work alongside senior SEO staff, supporting technical, content, and local SEO execution across a portfolio of law firm clients based in the US.

What You Will Do

You’ll receive scoped work from account strategists via Asana, with budgets and priorities already defined. You’ll support technical SEO audits, implement fixes, and monitor site health using tools like Screaming Frog, Semrush, and Google Search Console.

Requirements

• 0 to 2 years of hands-on SEO experience across technical, content, or local SEO
• Basic familiarity with WordPress, including comfort navigating the CMS and common SEO plugins such as Yoast or RankMath
• Working knowledge of at least one major SEO tool such as Screaming Frog, Semrush, Ahrefs, or Google Search Console
• Understanding of core SEO concepts including keyword research, on-page optimization, and local search fundamentals
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, comfortable managing multiple tasks across multiple client accounts
• Strong written and spoken English communication skills for internal documentation and async collaboration with a US-based team
• Self-directed and comfortable working remotely within a defined workflow
• Genuine curiosity about SEO and a desire to grow quickly across all three areas of search
