Data Operations Expert

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Medior Data Operations Expert (Databricks) to join our Digital Engineering Team. As a Data Operations Expert, you will manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of our Databricks-based data infrastructure.

Requirements

• University or college degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, or related field
• 2+ years hands-on experience with Databricks and Spark
• Strong Python and PySpark skills for data processing and automation
• Familiarity with Delta Lake architecture and ACID transactions
• Knowledge of Azure Data Factory, Data Services and Databricks security/governance (Unity Catalog)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines for Databricks notebooks
• Data pipeline monitoring & alerting
• Data quality checks & reconciliation
• DEV / TEST / PROD release support
• Retail IT domain background is a plus
• Proficiency in Databricks platform (clusters, jobs, notebooks, workflows)
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
• Experience in agile methodology and Databricks best practices
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and self-driven
• Strong sense of ownership and team mentality
• Growth mindset with passion for continuous learning
• Fluent in English (Hungarian is a plus)
