Territory Sales Engineer – Electrical Design Software (HOFFMAN DTM)

Join nVent, a leading global provider of electrical connection and protection solutions, as a Territory Sales Engineer for their DTM electrical design software portfolio. As a trusted advisor to customers, you will lead end-to-end technical presales engagements, deliver live product demonstrations, and partner with Sales Reps and DSO to drive opportunities. The role requires a strong understanding of electrical schematics, panel design, and manufacturing workflows, as well as experience in presales, application engineering, or technical sales. The position is based in the Eastern and Central US and offers a dynamic global reach, diverse operations, and career opportunities. Work 100% remote with 10-20% travel for customer engagements and events.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Industrial Automation Engineering, or a related technical field
• 3+ years of experience in presales, application engineering, or technical sales
• Strong understanding of electrical schematics, panel design, and manufacturing workflows
• CAD/CAE, ECAD, or electrical design software experience
• Proven experience delivering live technical demonstrations to engineering and executive audiences
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business value
• Comfort working with CRM tools and structured sales processes
• Excellent presentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Willingness to work fully remote with 10-20% travel on average within North America
