Senior Financial Analyst II

Role Overview

The role combines technical accounting expertise with financial planning and analysis (FP&A). You will analyze financial performance, identify trends and opportunities, support executive decision-making, and provide financial guidance that helps the organization improve revenue, manage costs, strengthen operations, and plan for the future.

What You Will Do

You will analyze financial statements, general ledger activity, operating results, productivity, manufacturing costs, and yields to identify trends, risks, cost-saving opportunities, and opportunities to improve revenue and organizational performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Active CPA license required.
• Minimum of five years of progressive accounting experience.
• Extensive knowledge of accounting methods used to maintain and analyze all classes of accounts within a computerized double-entry accrual accounting environment.
• Strong understanding and application of GAAP.
• Experience with technical accounting standards affecting the organization, including ASC 606, ASC 842, and CECL.
• Experience preparing tax returns, including IRS Form 990.
• Experience with automated financial planning and analysis software.
• Strong financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, and variance-analysis skills.
• Experience preparing financial statements and supporting external audits.
• Ability to trace transactions from initial entry through final disposition and determine the appropriate accounting treatment.
• Ability to prepare and review journal entries and resolve accounting discrepancies.
• Advanced spreadsheet and financial analysis skills.
