Head of FP&A and Accounting

Role Overview

The Head of FP&A and Accounting is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the activities involved in the administration of all functions within the Finance Department, including regulatory reporting, budget preparation, financial planning and analysis, investment management, asset-liability management, liquidity management, as well as development of internal controls and procedures.

What You Will Do

The Head of FP&A and Accounting will provide financial expertise and support to specific departments within the Credit Union, develop financial models to forecast future performance, assess investment opportunities, and evaluate financial risks for the business, and to analyze the impact of business decisions on financial performance.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, with 5-10 years of professional experience, including progressive finance/accounting and supervisory experience. They will be able to take initiative, solve problems, and make decisions, and will have excellent oral and written communication skills, mathematical skills, and strong analytical experience.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Five to ten years professional experience, which includes progressive finance/accounting and supervisory experience
• Advanced computer skills in Excel and Word
• Prior experience working with GL software
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Mathematical skills and strong analytical experience
