Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Director of Business Development to help shape and drive our growth strategy. In this role, you’ll develop new partnerships, manage key client relationships, and lead efforts to bring Pow.bio’s innovative technology to market.

Accountable for specific sales targets, lead negotiations, close deals, and finalize agreements with customers and partners. Build and maintain a robust customer pipeline of opportunities by identifying and pursuing strategic business partnerships.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, or a related field (Master’s or Ph.D. a plus)
  • 8+ years of business development experience in biotechnology
  • 5+ years of scientific/technology related work in biotechnology
  • Proven ability to identify, negotiate, and close high-level business deals
  • Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to establish and maintain strategic partnerships and cultivate long-term client relationships
  • Commercial experience in Biochemicals and Nutraceuticals industry is a plus
  • Experience with selling software as a service a plus
  • Experience in business development or sales selling manufacturing process solutions a plus
  • Must have experience working with newly launched products in a B2B environment
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Proficient in using CRM software and other business development tools
  • Strong understanding of contractual terms and deal execution
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Demonstrated ability to support senior executives in business development activities
  • Extensive network of industry contacts in biotech, biomanufacturing, or synthetic biology
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to support travel requirements as needed
  • Passion for Pow.bio’s mission to revolutionize scale-up and bring sustainable solutions to market
