The Senior Data Analyst role involves turning data into information, information into insight, and insight into business decisions by conducting full lifecycle analysis, ensuring data integrity, developing ETL processes, and implementing automation solutions. The role leads data innovation initiatives, reports key metrics to senior management, and builds analytics capability within the team through training and change management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Operations Research, Statistics, or related fields
- Expert knowledge and practice (Level 3) of MS Office applications (MS Word, MS Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Knowledge and practice with minimal supervision (Level 2) in life insurance products, processes, and operations
- LOMA Certification Level 1 and LOMA Certification Associate Life Insurance Management (ALMI) is preferred but not required
- Customer Communication skill
- High Interpersonal skill
- Ability to present data cohesively that can lead to insights and decision-making
- Ability to extract insights from data for recommendations and next action steps
- Knowledge of reporting and visualization tools such as Business Objects, PowerBI and Tableau
- Programming Skills – knowledge of database query languages like SQL and Python
- Solid understanding of data engineering practices, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts and familiarity with Azure data platforms
