Senior Data Analyst

Role Overview

The Senior Data Analyst will lead the design, development, modernization, and optimization of enterprise analytics and business intelligence solutions using Power BI and the Microsoft Fabric semantic layer. The role will work closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, governance teams, and technical leadership to translate mission and business needs into effective analytics solutions.

The Senior Data Analyst will assess existing dashboards and reporting products, identify opportunities for consolidation and modernization, and develop scalable semantic models and analytics products that support executive, operational, and compliance use cases.

Requirements

• Significant experience developing enterprise business intelligence, analytics, and reporting solutions
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Power BI
• Experience working with Microsoft Fabric or comparable enterprise analytics platforms
• Advanced proficiency with DAX
• Strong experience with Power Query and data transformation
• Experience designing and maintaining enterprise semantic models
• Experience developing reusable and certified datasets for enterprise analytics
• Experience designing executive, operational, and compliance dashboards
• Experience assessing and rationalizing enterprise dashboard or reporting portfolios
• Experience translating business requirements into functional analytics specifications
• Experience conducting requirements gathering and stakeholder workshops
• Experience implementing row-level security and other analytics access-control mechanisms
• Understanding of data governance, data quality, metadata, and security principles
• Experience with dashboard performance optimization and analytical troubleshooting
• Experience supporting analytics product lifecycle management, modernization, or migration efforts
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills
• Experience working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Experience mentoring or providing technical leadership to other analysts
• Active Secret clearance
