GTM Business Systems Engineer, Quote-to-Cash

Role Overview

We’re looking for a Senior Business Systems Engineer to own and evolve Ramp’s Quote-to-Cash systems. You’ll build the Salesforce CPQ, contract, and Billing/Core integrations that turn complex commercial agreements into accurate, supportable customer outcomes from quote creation and approvals through order forms, provisioning, billing, renewals, and amendments.

What You Will Do

Design, develop, test, and deploy applications on the Salesforce Platform, design and operate reliable integrations between Salesforce CPQ, Ironclad, Billing/Core, and adjacent business systems, and drive decisions on architecture patterns, tool usage, and designs required for the solution to scale.

Why It Might Be a Fit

We look for slope over intercept. We care less about where you trained and more about what you’ve built. At Ramp, everyone is a builder who owns problems end to end and makes consequential decisions that shape the outcome.

Requirements

  • 7+ years working with the Salesforce platform
  • 5+ years of experience with Systems Architecture and Integrations
  • Strong experience with Apex and triggers
  • Working knowledge and experience on other programming languages like Python
  • Strong knowledge of developing Lightning Web Components
  • Strong experience of APIs and integrations with Salesforce
  • Strong knowledge and working experience of synchronous/asynchronous methods, streaming API, and publish/subscribe design patterns and architectural patterns
  • Familiarity with broader GTM stack beyond Salesforce (Gong, Leandata, CPQ, Billing Systems)
  • Strong and working knowledge of data pipelines
  • Solid understanding or implementation knowledge of CI/CD processes
  • Understanding Salesforce governance limits and code coverage
  • Follow unit-testing best practices and be capable of coding for positive/negative scenarios
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience using AI-assisted development tools thoughtfully and evaluating their output
  • Deep experience building and maintaining Salesforce applications with Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flows, and asynchronous processing
  • Experience with CPQ, pricing, contract lifecycle management, billing, subscriptions, or another Quote-to-Cash domain
  • Strong API and integration-design skills, including reliable handling of retries, duplicate events, partial failures, and data reconciliation
  • Ability to translate complex commercial requirements into simple, durable system behavior in partnership with non-engineering teams

  • Centralized home-office equipment ordering
  • Health and wellness stipend
  • Budget for intra-office travel
  • Weekly coffee stipend
  • 100% medical, dental & vision insurance coverage for you, with partial coverage for dependents
