Role Overview
The Assistant Special Events Manager is responsible for assisting the Special Events Manager with all daily functions of the Special Events Department. The role involves managing itineraries of in-house groups, departmental administration, and all aspects of special events.

Ensure efficient and personalized guest service, plan and execute events, lead by example, and support the Special Events Manager.

Requirements
- Previous Food and Beverage experience is required
- Previous Banquet or Catering experience is required
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to multi-task in a stressful environment, and creative problem-solving skills
- A strong understanding of standard operating financial statements, as well as the budgeting process, scheduling, and effective cost management
- Working knowledge of Silverware, Maestro, Res Diary, Dayforce, Microsoft Word and Excel, and File Maker Pro
- A current Serving It Right certificate and FoodSafe certificate
- A valid BC Class 5 Driver’s License
- The ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including regular physical activity and heavy lifting
- The ability to make a two-year commitment to the position
