Role Overview
The Director, Business Development is responsible for evaluating and executing the company’s mergers and acquisitions, licensing transactions, and strategic partnerships across the enterprise. This is a hands-on, detail-oriented leadership role that requires operating comfortably across all levels of the organization and with internal and external partners.
What You Will Do
Work cross-functionally to support and drive business strategy development, search and evaluation of new and complementary technologies, and support due diligence and integration of partnerships and/or M&A. Develop and lead execution of RGEN’s general framework/approach to evaluate partnerships, licensing, and M&A opportunities.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The successful candidate will have 5-7 years of experience in business development, investment banking, management consulting, private equity, or related fields, with demonstrated experience executing M&A and licensing transactions within a public company environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred
- 5-7 years of experience in business development, investment banking, management consulting, private equity, or related fields
- Demonstrated experience executing M&A and licensing transactions within a public company environment
- Strong financial and analytical capability, including valuation, deal modeling, and ROI analysis
- Skillset to assess and apply digital / AI companies, tools and services
- Experience in life sciences, biopharma, bioprocessing or med tech M&A preferred
