Role Overview
As a founding data scientist on Replit’s Growth team, you’ll work with Product and Engineering leadership to shape how Replit experiments and make data-driven decisions. You’ll own data science for major growth areas, design experiments and metrics, and partner with Data Engineering on a shared metrics layer.
What You Will Do
Your responsibilities will include making fast decisions trustworthy, designing experiments and metrics, and using quasi-experimental designs where randomization isn’t feasible. You’ll also help define the data science behind personalization and recommendations, model the economics of a freemium product, and develop user and project segmentation.

Requirements
- 6+ years in data science
- significant time on growth or experimentation for high-scale prosumer, PLG, or self-serve products
- deep expertise in experimental design and statistical inference
- experience establishing experimentation standards or platforms adopted by multiple teams
- expert SQL and Python
- a track record of analysis that changed what a team shipped
- heavy, practical use of AI tools
