FP&A Manager (R&D)

Role Overview

The FP&A Manager will be the key finance partner to the R&D organization, analyzing financial and operational performance, developing actionable insights, and presenting recommendations to R&D leadership and the executive team.

What You Will Do

The role will involve building and maintaining R&D headcount and opex models, scenario and sensitivity analyses, monthly R&D budget-to-actual and forecast variance analysis, and forecasting and evaluating AI tooling and infrastructure spend.

Requirements

• 8+ years of FP&A, Finance, Business Analysis, or related experience
• Bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting or related field, or equivalent work experience
• Experience with financial planning, ERP, CRM, and spend management systems
• Ability to interpret financial statements and convey key recommendations to the business
• Experience in leveraging AI tools to build and manage complex financial models
• Advanced knowledge of Excel including modeling, and experience preparing executive-level presentations
• Knowledge and experience in the SaaS/software industry
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure billing and cost management (e.g., Azure Cost Management, AWS Cost Explorer) and FinOps concepts preferred
• Comfort partnering with technical stakeholders (Engineering, Product) and translating technical concepts into financial terms
• Ability to solve complex business challenges and work with company executives to understand business needs and strategy
