Role Overview

The Business Development Specialist will be responsible for growing all testing services and food inspection service offerings across the Health and Nutrition (H&N) business unit by proactively and reactively selling and promoting the product ranges on offer to all industry sectors in South Africa and Africa.

What You Will Do

The role will involve preparing individual sales action plans, maintaining current sales opportunities, identifying new ones, and ensuring revenue targets are met. The Specialist will also support the Sales Manager and Business Manager in executing sales strategies and managing client relationships.

Why It Might Be a Fit

The ideal candidate will have a high level of written and verbal English and Afrikaans, computer literacy, and a valid driver’s license. They will also have a minimum of 5-10 years’ experience in a business development role or key account management role, with a successful track record in sales.

Requirements

  • Tertiary Food or Agricultural Qualification
  • Minimum of 5-10 years’ experience in a business development role or key account management role
  • High level of written and verbal English and Afrikaans
  • Computer literacy in Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
  • Valid driver’s license and own vehicle
