Role Overview

Join Smithfield’s Procurement Finance team as a Financial Analyst to drive enterprise-wide cost optimization through data-driven decision making. The role involves transforming data into actionable insights, providing critical analysis on procurement savings, costing accuracy, market trends, supplier economics, and sourcing performance.

What You Will Do

Prepare financial reports, analyze data, develop dashboards and KPIs, and present recommendations to Procurement and Finance leadership. Lead the tracking, validation, and reporting of procurement savings initiatives, and conduct financial analysis of supplier performance and sourcing strategies.

Requirements

• Experience within the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry
• Knowledge of procurement savings methodologies and sourcing governance processes
• Experience supporting categories such as Packaging, Ingredients, MRO, Facilities Services, Technology, or Corporate Services
• Experience developing dashboards and analytics using Power BI or similar visualization platforms
• Understanding of commodity markets, inflation forecasting, supplier economics, and cost drivers
• Experience with procurement systems, spend analytics platforms, and reporting automation tools
• Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles
