Role Overview
The Financial Analyst will provide budget planning, forecasting, and analysis for Southern Company Gas. This role will primarily support the corporate areas, requiring strong financial and analytical skills to work closely with business unit leaders.
What You Will Do
The Financial Analyst will provide monthly variance reporting, trending, projections, presentations, and ad-hoc analysis to support FP&A leadership and business leaders. They will also participate in the monthly close process, serve as the financial lead for the business, and work closely with business area leaders to achieve desired financial and operational results.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent
- Professional certification (e.g. CPA, CMA) or MBA is preferred
- 2-4 years of experience in financial planning, financial analysis, regulatory planning, and/or accounting or related fields
- Working knowledge of financial management information systems and tools
- Ability to work proactively, independently, and in a team environment
