Company Description
Stackpack is building the modern command center for vendor and AI operations. As companies increasingly rely on software, AI tools, contractors, and external vendors to run their businesses, finance and operations teams are struggling to maintain visibility and control. Spreadsheets, inboxes, and legacy procurement tools were never designed for this new world.
We help companies understand where money is going, who owns what, which vendors deliver ROI, and where operational risk exists – all in one platform. We’re backed by top investors and built by a team from companies including Affirm, Asana, PayPal, Google, Adobe, Etsy, and eBay.
The Role
Stackpack has product market fit and over 100 customers. We’re hiring our first GTM & New Business Lead to work directly alongside the Founder & CEO on go-to-market strategy, sales, business development, and partnerships.
This is a hands-on commercial role. You’ll be expected to prospect, run discovery, drive deals, and close customers yourself — while also helping shape our broader GTM strategy.
We’re looking for someone highly analytical, commercially sharp, and relationship-oriented – someone who can sit across from CFOs, Controllers, Finance leaders, and Operations executives and deeply understand how their organizations work, where they’re inefficient, and how Stackpack can help. Basically someone equally comfortable discussing margin pressure with CFOs and sending the fifth follow-up email needed to close a deal.
The right person likely comes from early-stage SaaS GTM, strategic finance, consulting, investment banking, or private equity. You know how businesses operate, ask thoughtful questions, synthesize complex problems quickly, and build trust with senior stakeholders.
You’ll help define how Stackpack goes to market during a critical stage of company growth.
What You’ll Do
- Own & Build Strategic Relationships: Build relationships with finance, accounting, procurement, and operations leaders at high-growth companies. Lead thoughtful discovery conversations that uncover operational pain points around vendor management, spend visibility, contracts, renewals, compliance, and AI adoption.
- Drive New Business: Own deals from first meeting through close. Help customers evaluate Stackpack’s value across financial operations, vendor rationalization, workflow efficiency, and risk reduction.
- Partner Closely with the Founder: Work directly with the CEO on sales strategy, messaging, partnerships, customer expansion, and market positioning. You’ll have significant influence over how the company scales GTM.
- Shape the GTM Motion: Help build repeatable and relationship-driven sales processes. Refine messaging, identify ideal customer profiles, and provide structured feedback to Product and Marketing based on market conversations.
- Represent Stackpack Externally: Build relationships within the finance and startup ecosystem across San Francisco and beyond. Attend industry events, customer dinners, and operator communities to expand Stackpack’s network and market presence.
Role Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in sales, consulting, banking, strategic finance, partnerships, or high-performing B2B SaaS environments
- MBAs welcome
- Exceptionally strong communicator with executive presence
- Curious and analytical – you enjoy understanding how businesses operate beneath the surface
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and operating without rigid playbooks
- Relationship-oriented and credible with senior operators
- Highly ambitious and motivated by building something from the ground up
- You hate to lose: Come here, and help us win
- Interested in the intersection of finance, operations, software, and AI
- Excited to work with a small, high-talent team in San Francisco
Why This Role
This is an opportunity to join an early-stage company at the ground floor and become a core part of the leadership trajectory of the business.
You’ll help shape:
- The company’s GTM strategy
- The customer base and partnerships
- Product direction through direct market feedback
- How modern finance teams manage vendors, software, and AI operations
If you’re excited by high ownership, smart customers, complex business problems, and building alongside experienced operators, we’d love to meet you.

- Medical, dental, and vision benefits
- Life & short-term disability insurance
- Unlimited PTO
