Experience Data Engineer

Tecknoworks is a global technology consulting company seeking an Experienced Data Engineer to lead the design and delivery of enterprise-scale data platforms. The role involves leading architectural decisions, driving data strategy, and mentoring junior engineers.

Requirements

• Expert SQL and Python
• Strong experience with distributed data processing (e.g. Spark)
• Hands-on experience designing end-to-end data platforms on: Azure (expert), AWS (expert)
• Experience with modern data tooling (e.g. dbt, Airflow/Dagster, Microsoft Fabric)
• Strong understanding of data modeling, performance optimization, and reliability engineering
• 4–7 years of experience in data engineering or platform engineering roles
• Proven ownership of production data systems with strict SLAs
• Experience handling incidents and operational responsibility
• Experience mentoring engineers and leading technical discussions
• Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Ability to work independently across multiple workstreams
• Strong experience using AI tools in daily engineering work
• Ability to define where AI adds value and where it does not
• Experience mentoring others on responsible, effective AI usage in engineering
