Financial Analyst, Licensing

Role Overview

The Financial Analyst, Licensing & Royalties is responsible for managing, analyzing, and reporting royalty and licensing revenue and expenses across a global portfolio of brands, products, and strategic partnerships.

What You Will Do

Calculate and validate royalty revenues and expenses, review and interpret licensing contracts, prepare and process royalty accruals, settlements, invoices, and payment schedules.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field
• 3-4 years of experience in financial analysis, royalty accounting, licensing finance, revenue accounting, or related disciplines
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Strong understanding of financial statements, accrual accounting, and revenue recognition principles
• Experience reviewing and interpreting contractual financial terms
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities
• Experience in media, entertainment, publishing, consumer products, software, gaming, retail, fashion, sports, or intellectual property-based businesses preferred
• Knowledge of royalty management systems and ERP platforms including Workday and Brand Comply is a plus
• CPA, CFA, or progress toward certification is a plus
