Marketing and Communications Coordinator – Japan

Role Overview

The Marketing and Communications Coordinator will provide active support to the brand, marketing, communications, and digital marketing plan and initiatives in Japan. The role will report to the Head of Marketing and Communications in North Asia and primarily focus on strengthening the brand and profile in Japan through the effective execution of the marketing and communications strategy in the market.

What You Will Do

The successful candidate will support the creation of an annual marketing plan and calendar, support new campaigns and initiatives, advise business teams on communications and marketing activities, contribute to processes and systems, and be a brand custodian in Japan.

Requirements

  • Relevant degree in Communications, Media, Marketing, Journalism, or a relevant field
  • 1-2 years of experience across corporate marketing/communications
  • Practical experience of how professional service organizations build brand and win work; and of the marketing approaches that underpin them
  • Superior written, analytical and oral communications skills in Japanese and English; very detail oriented
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships, collaborate and work with stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong copywriting skills and ability to identify and shape key messages in Japanese and English
  • An ability to identify critical messages and unique selling points, and clearly communicate them
  • An ability to operate in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Passionate about and focused on outcomes to support business success
  • Self-starter with a strong ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously to tight deadlines
  • Demonstrates the utmost in integrity, with a solid work ethic, confidence, diplomacy, and credibility
  • Strong PC skills required. Familiarity with Microsoft Office, especially MSWord, Excel and Power Point is required
