Management Data Analyst

Role Overview

The Management Data Analyst will contribute to support overall organizational effectiveness by making substantive contributions to MCT advisory engagements with internal and external stakeholders. The role involves undertaking research, data collection, and analysis; developing data analysis tools and applications; managing databases and data platforms; supporting internal coordination and knowledge management; and participating in all MCT engagements using a client, quality, and results-oriented approach.

What You Will Do

Key duties and responsibilities include undertaking research, data collection, and analysis in support of UNDP’s organizational effectiveness; participating in client advisory engagements and making contributions in support of business transformation engagements; and supporting data/knowledge management and coordination.

Requirements

• Advanced University Degree (Master’s Degree or equivalent) in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Computational Sciences, Business Administration, or related fields
• A minimum of two (2) years with a Master’s degree or four (4) years with a Bachelor’s degree of progressively relevant work experience in research, data collection, analysis, and supporting business transformation engagements
• Knowledge and experience of data science/analytics methodologies and approaches
• Advanced knowledge of spreadsheet and database packages, data modelling, statistical analysis, and visualization tools
• Demonstrated experience in database and cloud computing platforms
• Demonstrated hands-on experience in programming languages, libraries, and frameworks for use in data science/analytics
• Knowledge of practical applications of predictive analytics and generative AI
• Experience in performance improvement, business process reengineering, organizational effectiveness/organization development, process consultation, or management consulting
