Role Overview

As a key member of the Research Financial Services Team, the Financial Analyst I performs a range of professional and detailed accounting tasks requiring basic knowledge and fundamental application of competent knowledge of accounting concepts, principles and practices.

What You Will Do

Allocate deposits received through UHN bank accounts, process and manage cheque deposits, handle a high volume of deposit allocations, process repayment and refund transactions, communicate with internal and external stakeholders, investigate and reconcile discrepancies, respond to inquiries, maintain accurate records, and provide support for ad hoc projects.

The ideal candidate will have a university degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or equivalent program, and a minimum of 2 years of related experience in accounting environment with exposure to a range of basic accounting practices, procedures and generally accepted accounting principles.

Requirements

  • University degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or equivalent program
  • Minimum of 2 years of related experience in accounting environment
  • Skill in performing detailed numerical computations and accurate data entry
  • Demonstrated problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
  • Working knowledge of computer application accounting systems (SAP preferred)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to client service and satisfaction
  • Experience working in a health care environment, preferred
