Financial Operations Manager

Role Overview

The Financial Operations Manager will support the Center for Hearing Health Access at UAMS, responsible for the implementation, coordination, and oversight of all financial activities within the Center. The position manages detailed and complex accounting and financial issues for the Center, including grants, contracts, and annual budgeting.

What You Will Do

The FOM will advise Center leadership of over/under spending, projections, potential violations of regulations, and strategic financial planning. They will also provide monthly reports on CHHA internally funded accounts, conduct research necessary for financial reporting and planning, and maintain electronic financial files and folders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in finance, accounting, business/related field
• 4 years of grants management or finance/accounting experience
• Experience with grant budgets and administration
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
• Advanced Microsoft Excel user
• Effective Workday user
• Strong executive function, including critical thinking, strategic mindset, logical reasoning and excellent problem-solving skills
• Strong interpersonal & organizational skills
• Ability to multi-task
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively in groups
• Skilled in taking initiative and maintaining flexibility
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Self-directed and able to work independently with good foresight
