Role Overview

The Business Development Officer is responsible for qualifying, soliciting, cultivating, and acquiring large corporate partners to raise revenue and awareness for USO programs and services.

What You Will Do

Manage all stages of new business development, including lead qualification, proposal development, presentation, solicitation, contract execution, and fulfillment. Proactively seek new corporate prospects through networking opportunities, conferences, and in-person meetings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field
  • 3+ years work experience in a fundraising/development role
  • Knowledge of business development strategies and processes
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate, interpret, and fulfill contract terms and agreements
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency using computers and electronics equipment
  • General knowledge of various software, applications, and programs
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities
  • Ability to obtain and maintain proper credentials necessary to access USO Center locations and facilities
