Data Scientist – PhD required – onsite NYC

Welltower is a real estate company transforming senior living and wellness-focused real estate. The Data Scientist will work with the current data science team to analyze data and make better business decisions. The role requires a PhD in Mathematics or Statistics or Economics with a focus on Predictive Analytics.

Requirements

• Assist the Business Insights team with Welltower’s data and analytics strategy and predictive analytics application across Welltower.
• Work on creating predictive models and solutions to consume data for the purpose of analytics.
• Selecting features, building and optimizing classifiers using machine learning techniques
• Data mining using state-of-the-art methods
• Extending company’s data with third party sources of information as and when needed
• Analyzing the output of the predictive analytics model to make meaningful information valuable to Welltower investment process
• Enhancing data collection procedures to include information that is relevant for building analytic systems
• Processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis
• Doing ad-hoc analysis and presenting results in a clear manner
