As a Sales Director, Land Transport, you will be responsible for driving NCS sales, including account penetration, prospect qualification, supervision of sales activity, sales process planning, and closing all sales opportunities in the industry and/or sector that you are in. You are expected to build deep and trusted business relationships with the client to seed and grow future opportunities and will be focused on developing and closing application centric opportunities.
With close client engagement and interaction, you are responsible for leading the team to drive NCS sales, including account penetration, prospect qualification, supervision of sales activity, sales process planning, and closing all sales opportunities in the industry and/or sector that he/she is in.
Reporting to the Sales Lead, you will work closely with different teams across NCS such as the Client Service Units, Lines of Businesses (LOBs) and corporate function teams. You will work with the teams to define the solution offerings & value propositions to maximise NCS’ win probability in each and every opportunity. This is achieved by him/her having a deep understanding of the business needs of the clients and working within the CSU and across the LOBs to strategise new growth plans.
What will you do?
Sales Leadership & Strategy
- Drive account penetration and growth across key transport clients.
- Lead opportunity qualification, approval process and closure of opportunities.
- Develop and execute deal strategies and win plans.
- Develop and execute sales plans aligned with NCS’s business objectives and sector priorities.
- Lead, coach, and develop sales team members and pursuit teams where applicable.
- Promote ethical, inclusive, and responsible sales practices.
Commercial Structuring & Proposal Excellence
- Craft and negotiate commercial terms, pricing models, and contract structures.
- Lead proposal development, ensuring alignment with client needs and NCS’s value proposition.
- Coordinate with legal, finance, and delivery teams to ensure deal viability and compliance.
Client Engagement & Relationship Management
- Build trusted advisor relationships with senior client stakeholders.
- Understand client business drivers and align NCS offerings to strategic outcomes.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Lines of Business (LOBs) to assemble winning teams.
- Define solution offerings and value propositions to maximize win probability.
- Lead internal governance and approval processes for complex deals.
The Ideal Candidate should possess:
- Minimum 10 years of B2B sales experience, preferably in ICT services or transport-related sectors.
- Experience in government or enterprise sales environments and familiarity with public sector procurement and tendering processes.
- Strong blend of business acumen, customer-centric thinking, and the ability to translate complex solutions into commercially viable offerings. Skilled in crafting unique value propositions and differentiators based on competitor and market insights.
- Strong understanding of commercial frameworks, pricing strategies, and contract terms.
- Proficiency in proposal tools, CRM platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Client-focused, with strong communication, organizational and project management capabilities.
- PMP certification and prior delivery of large-scale projects for MNC or conglomerate clients (preferred).
- Bachelor’s degree required; Computer Engineering or Computer Science preferred
